Haystack's high school interns tested out the xTool S1 Laser Cutter and Screen Printer, pulling prints on t-shirts with a logo of their own design cut out of laser-engravable screen printing material.
Watching the interns pull their own logo onto t-shirts with the screen printer was the highlight, and the laser cutter handled the finer details on our designs without any trouble. Two days at the Deer Isle campus flew by way too fast.
The kids spent the whole morning pulling prints on t-shirts using the screen printer, and the logos they designed themselves came out cleaner than I expected. Watching my son actually run the laser cutter instead of just reading about it was the highlight of the week.
Signed my daughter up for the screen printing day and she came home with a shirt she designed herself. The staff let the interns run the laser cutter too, which kept the whole group busy the entire afternoon.
