Bought this for my robotics club and the nine built-in functions meant we could start experimenting the same afternoon. Training our own model for a trash-sorting demo took a bit of fiddling, but it actually deployed and ran. The kids were genuinely impressed.
The plug-and-play setup with our mBot2 took maybe two minutes, and my students were detecting objects with the vision module before the bell rang. Training our own custom model on lunchroom recycling was the part that really sold me, since it's not just canned demos.
